This is a free invitation to the next University of Manchester ‘Inclusion and Inspiration’ conference which is to be held on Wednesday 18th January 2017. The conference is open to all our alumni NQTs and Teach First first and second year participants. We would love to welcome you back to UoM for the day! Inspirational guest speakers from the University of Manchester PGCE partnership will share their expertise and experience and give you, as delegates, an opportunity to discuss, debate and reflect on the need for social justice in our education system.
The keynote speaker is Professor Neil Humphrey, head of Manchester Institute of Education, who will be talking about looking after children’s mental health. We are also delighted to welcome back the wonderful Bridge College choir. Sessions for 2017 include, amongst others: mindfulness techniques, behaviour for learning, promoting growth mindsets, understanding dyslexia, autism, UNICEF rights respecting schools, being an EAL teacher, philosophy for children, working in a PRU, neuroscience: de-bunking the myths, looking after the health and well-being of non-statement children and setting up a debate mate group with your class.
We look forward to seeing you at the University of Manchester on Wednesday 18th January!
