Induction as an NQT – the five year rule

by | 9 Dec 2015 | PGCE Updates | 0 comments

The rules for completion of your induction as a teacher state that you are allowed to undertake supply teaching in periods of less than a term for no more than five years. If you are employed for a period of more than one term in an eligible institution, this should count towards your induction – and induction will take three terms in all. Further details are available in the document attached: NQT induction guidance

There is a good explanation of the key points in this TES article on induction rules.
