Message from Pat Dower

Dear colleague,

What are your CPD plans for this academic year?

Coming in November is the Northern Area Conference at Sheffield Hallam University (Saturday 11th November). The theme for this year’s conference is inclusion and diversity in their widest sense. Do you want to update your knowledge of science teaching? Do you teach low or high attainers? Student’s with SEND or who are EAL? Are you a BAME teacher? There is a wide range of sessions for Primary and Secondary as well as a substantial exhibition to give you a stimulating and fun day. Full details can be found here

In January is ASE’s flag-ship event – the Annual Conference (Liverpool University, 3rd – 6th January 2018), which is now officially Europe’s biggest science education CPD event. With a massive exhibition and over 350 sessions covering all phases and levels of experience there is plenty for everyone passionate about improving science education. Full details including the early bird rates can be found here

The programmes of the two conferences are designed to complement each other so why not come to both?

We look forward to seeing you soon.
