UoM ITE Social Responsibility Awards – nominations welcome

by | 23 May 2020 | PGCE Updates | 0 comments

This is a reminder that the University of Manchester ITE Social Responsibility Awards are still open for nominations – but the closing date for nominations is approaching – 5th June 2020. Do you know an NQT, or perhaps it’s you, who could be nominated? These awards are for UoM trainee teachers or NQTs from any of our UoM programmes (PGCE, Teach First, SCITT) judged to have gone the extra mile and exhibited a commendable level of personal social responsibility either in their training or in other activity with young people or communities outside the university. To act with social responsibility is to act for the benefit of society at large. Acting with social responsibility is not really about winning awards, but awards can help to promote imaginative and thoughtful actions.

The deadline for submitting a nomination is 5th June. Please see the attached information sheet and nomination form.

Best wishes,

Andy Howes
