Manchester bombing – resources

by | 24 May 2017 | CPD, PGCE Updates | 0 comments

Dear colleagues, we are thinking of all those of you in schools where children, young people and others have been affected by the Manchester bombing. You will have been calm, positive, and a listening ear for young people, though not always feeling positive yourself, I expect. We hope you give yourself time, to talk with friends and colleagues about what you are feeling, and to encourage them to do so.

We thought to send you some resource links which may be of use. The PSHE Association have a useful resource.https://www.pshe-association.org.uk/curriculum-and-resources/resources/generic-framework-discussing-terrorist-attack

And we are also attaching a booklet which has some valuable case studies of school responses in other crises, and some recommendations. Wise_Before_the_Event

If you can see a need that we might help to facilitate in relation to the aftermath of Monday’s attack, please let us know.

Yours,

Andy Howes
